Sensory Performance 'Home' at the Theatre Royal PlymouthSix students, from different year groups, had the unique opportunity to attend a sensory performance at the Theatre Royal on Friday, along with a parent/carer.
The performance called 'Home' explored the relationship between two strangers, left isolated when they are caught in an apocalyptic sand storm. The performers took us on an interactive, sensory journey, in their quest to survive, until help arrives.
Our group were the only audience, this made it a very intimate experience, especially as the performers encouraged us to play with sand, bubbles, and water. There were beautiful harmonies in the songs and the performers used the students names to complete the chorus, this gave a real personal touch.
It really was a stunning performance, enjoyed by all. We look forward to interacting with the company again in the near future.
