Sponsored Child Challenge Day 2017
Once again our students took part in the great rowing challenge to raise money for our sponsored children. We sponsor Navraj Praja in Nepal and Eunice Tawiah in Ghana so both children can go to school instead of working on their family farms. It costs just 50p to send each child to school for a day.
This year the rowers were organised and motivated by some amazing students: Nadina Lamble, Brodie Lashbrook, Thomas Hamlyn, Lewis Baldwin from 10LW, Jayden Quick, Flynn Hilton from 9SB, Craig McKenna and Thomas Wilkinson from 8MW. The students competed in their four house teams - wind, fire, earth and water and this year’s winner were fire.Mrs Wenmoth and 7AB made some scrumptious cookies and chocolate rice krispies cakes and they were sold at break time. There was also a raffle organised by Mrs Moore and our school council.
All three events raised £105!
