This years Young Chef Team Challenge took place at City College, Plymouth and was judged by local chef and joint winner of 'MasterChef the Professionals', Anton Piotrowski, head chef and director of The Treby Arms. Other judges included Robert Bateman, executive chef at the Berry Head Hotel, Richard Hunt, executive chef at The Grand Hotel.
Every year the college holds the competition, which gives local secondary school students the opportunity to show off their culinary skills.
Teams of three students were asked to design a healthy, balanced menu suitable for two players from Plymouth Raiders Basketball Team, who also attended and judged the event.
This year's competing schools included Brook Green Centre for Learning, Devonport High School for Girls and Devonport High School for Boys, Eggbuckland Community College, Sir John Hunt Community Sports College, Stoke Damerel Community College and Saltash Community School.
