Woodlands School Workshop
Congratulations to our amazing Arts Award ‘Ambassadors’ for leading an exceptional Drama workshop for the wonderful students at Woodlands School, and performing an extract from Dylan Thomas’s ‘Under Milk Wood’.
As a teacher I often think about the wider impact of a students’ learning in the classroom, especially when I see the sheer hard work these students put into planning and rehearsals. It always excites me to provide opportunities for students to demonstrate their skills and pass on their knowledge to others, whilst building lifelong skills in teamwork, communication, patience and resilience.
Today was yet another example of our students striving to achieve their personal best and adapting to a new (and sometimes challenging) situation. The leadership skills from our students were outstanding, Woodlands school staff and students were ‘blown away’ by the confidence, kindness, and sheer talent demonstrated today.
We hope to continue our collaboration work with Woodlands this academic year, watch this space!
