Brook Green Food Bank Collection 2017!
If you’ve read our previous blog, you will know that 7SB and 7PE organised and managed the food collection for the Food Bank in Plymouth. They have been working on this project since October and had organised the letter home and all of the promotional material used for this really important charitable collection and even went to Tesco to shop from money donated by staff! Yet again, the generosity of parents, carers, staff and students amazed us. There were many, many tins of food that the food bank needed such as rice pudding, meat, fish and vegetables. We also collected boxes of cereals, cat treats for pets and sweets.
from The Trussell Trust came to Brook Green today and collected all of the food
and five students from Year 7 helped to pack the car. Robert told us that they
had had an extremely busy day on Friday with 101 visitors to the Food Bank in
just the afternoon alone!
would like to thank everyone that donated food to this charity whose aim is to
‘Stop UK Hunger’.
