World Book Day?
World Book Day is a celebration! It's a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it's a celebration of reading. In fact, it's the biggest celebration of its kind designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading.

Celebrating across the curriculum.
On March 9th, Brook Green celebrated World Book Day with the whole school dressing up as their favourite Roald Dahl character.
The theme of the day for Key Stage 3 was Roald Dahl. Students enjoyed the day by designing a Roald Dahl front cover page, Decorating Mr Twits beard, making chocolate in the Chocolate factory, writing Revolting Rhymes , watching Roald Dahl films and having a chemistry lesson from two witches.
Key Stage 4 started their day by reading Helen Dunsmore’s book Ingo, which was about mermaids and airmaids. Students then visited The National Marine.Both students and staff enjoyed the day and are looking forward to next years event
