The Rotary Club Young Artist of the Year competition 2018
The Rotary Club Young artist of the Year competition is a very prestigious art completion which runs annually. It is open to students in secondary education across Plymouth. There are three categories: KS3, KS4 and Sixth form. The exhibition was held as Plymouth College of Art and showcased some of finest artwork in Plymouth.
This year, the Rotary Club invited schools from the Quay Partnership to participate in the completion. Selected students from Brook Green Centre for Learning took part. Shortly after they were entered, we received notification that Sydney Terrell was awarded a prize.
Phil Paynter, President of the Rotary Club, said: “The Rotary Club of Plymouth is very pleased to support young artists from secondary schools in Plymouth. We are especially pleased after running the competition for over 20 years that we are now able to extend the competition to the Quay Partnership of specialist schools in Plymouth."
