Coordinates

Our year sevens and eights have been working with coordinates in their Maths lessons.

Coordinates can be used in many different ways, and in several different careers. The Navy uses them on their radars to detect other ships. The army can be seen regularly on Dartmoor using coordinates to navigate themselves to different positions. Also on Dartmoor you can spot ramblers using their maps and also letter boxers and geocachers. Even farmers use coordinates using satellites to plough their fields to millimetre accuracy.

We all enjoyed drawing coordinate pictures. Here is a selection of some of the dogs we drew.
