9LW are participating in a project that focuses on celebrating our relationship with the sea. The aim is to reconnect with our coast, understand some of the environmental issues and explore the history of our coastal areas.

On Tuesday 17th of January, the students worked with artist, Jenny Ayrton from Art and Energy and Karen Evens, who is leading the project to create their own sea scene in a box.

The students made boxes with solar panels so that the interior could light up. Inside the box, students created scenes relating to the sea and the coast. There were also kinetic features to the boxes.

Students spent the entire morning creating amazing scenes. Each box was a huge success!
