Year 9 Visited the Mayor's Parlour and the Council Chambers today. It is part of a topic around local and national democracy. The Mayor was very welcoming and answered all the students' questions some of which were quite easy such as "What is your favourite takeaway?" to "What are the most difficult choices you have to make?" It was great for the students to have access to such a political figure, but it was even better to look around the Council Chamber and the tea and biscuits were not bad either.
