Welcome From Your Student Wellbeing Lead

'Parents and carers are overwhelmingly positive in their views of the school'. (Ofsted)

Hello and welcome!

My name is Allison Newcombe and I'm your School based Student Health & Well-being Lead. I am here to help and support you and can be contacted on site at Brook Green Centre For Learning on a daily basis from 8:45am – 3:00pm Monday - Thursdays.

I am a non-teaching member of staff working alongside Parents/Carers/Students and School staff to ensure the well-being of students. However, please be aware that if there are concerns around a child's safety or well-being, then the information disclosed will have to be shared with the relevant designated person.

My role is to provide easy access and support such as:

  • Support through transition periods, especially Primary School to Secondary School,

  • Help and support with paperwork and/or forms,

  • Signposting to other services available,

  • Offering parenting and adult learning opportunities,

  • Support in meetings,

  • Home visits on request,

  • Listening to your everyday queries or concerns,

  • Attendance support.

Why do we have a Student Health & Well-being Lead?

Being a parent or carer is one of the most rewarding and difficult jobs and at times may feel one of the loneliest. There aren't any instruction manual’s that come with a child, yet we all want what's best for our children and we can all benefit with a little help from time to time.

I am here to support you as your child goes through their schooling at Brook Green Centre for Learning.

Remember, YOU are the biggest influence in your child's life!
