Our Safeguarding Commitment

Brook Green Centre for Learning is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We believe that our students have a right to learn in a supportive, caring and safe environment which includes the right to protection from all types of abuse; where staff are vigilant for signs of any student in distress and are confident about applying our safeguarding processes to avert and alleviate any such problems. All teaching and support staff must undertake the required pre employment checks which include the uptake of references, employment history checks, internet searches and a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Current Vacancies

Lead Teacher of Science

MPS/UPS +1 SEN + TLR2a

We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic Teacher to lead the Science curriculum and to join our thriving and happy school community. You will need to have the knowledge, skills and creativity to be an outstanding teacher. A genuine passion to enhance the learning and life chances of SEND students by introducing them to the wide range of skills and knowledge of Science is most important. 

 

Our excellent CPD offer, ensures that all teachers, no matter their level of experience are able able to develop and improve.

We are focused on ensuring staff well-being and pride ourselves on being a supportive employer.

Main Duties and responsibilities

  • Working within the Science department to raise student achievement.

  • The continued development of the department.

  • Teach the Science curriculum at key stage 3 and 4 to GCSE level.

  • Contribute to enrichment and intervention support within the Science department.

This is a really exciting opportunity to work in a school ‘where no one stands still, and our young people enjoy their learning.’
