connecting with nature

On Wednesday some of our Year 9 DofE students spent some time connecting with nature. The session was delivered by Joanna Ruminska, a professional forager and member of The Whitleigh Big Local team. Students enjoyed utilising all their senses to explore objects from our local outdoor learning space. We found what we believe to be a ground beetle larvae and we were visited by a local robin. It was a peaceful, albeit chilly afternoon and so the hot chocolate was welcomed by all. We hope to be engaging with Whitleigh Big Local in future sessions
