Over the summer term year 10 students have been growing vegetables on the community allotments in Whitleigh.  Last week a group of students were invited to sample the produce they have grown.  The group picked some onions, dug up some potatoes, and harvested some carrots and borage and made a delicious soup.  Some of the braver ones added the odd chilli which really spiced things up.  Everyone enjoyed the soup and learnt a lot about how allotments can help feed the body but also nourish the soul. Many thanks to Joanna the Green Connector of Whitleigh Big Local  for arranging this.
