Lantern Parade

Students have started to make the lanterns for Whitleigh Lantern Parade in just under three weeks time.  We need as many helpers and "paraders " that we can get to ready on Friday the 29th November.  The students really enjoyed making the lanterns and were ably assisted and supported by Joanna and Nikki from Whitleigh Big Local.

The parade kicks off from outside school at 4.30 and the students along with staff and parents and carers will walk  on a set route to Whitleigh Green.  Once we get there we will get the chance to loom at all the other local schools lanterns.  There will also be a bouncy castle on hand along with some craft stalls to make or buy those early Christmas presents.  Come along and see the fantastic finished lanterns made by our students and get into the Christmas community spirit!
