Science students in all year groups have started learning and honing their science skills as the new school year begins.
Year 7s have successfully and safely used Bunsen burners to begin their practical investigative skills.
Years 8 and 9 have been testing materials for electrical and thermal conductivity and experimenting with chemical reactions.
The Entry Level groups in Key Stage 4 (years 10 and 11) have been investigating what happens when chemicals react and how this affects our daily lives, while the GCSE groups have been doing required practical investigations on preparation for their exams.
It has been great to see such a great deal of engagement as practical skills support the learning alongside literacy and numeracy.
