The school fell silent at 11:00 am on Wednesday 11th November as a sign of respect for the fallen in World War 1 and World War 2 and subsequent conflicts.

After break-time, students took part in a variety of thought provoking activities including researching aspects of conflict, making poppy wreaths, researching and learning about

Sgt. Stubby and World War 1.

Some students also learned about past family members who had died in conflicts and were able to see a variety of family heirlooms such as medals, letters home and ration books whilst others in year 10 visited Western Mill to see the War Graves.

Students in year 9 also made thoughtful silhouette pictures to commemorate the wars and the fallen.
