Setting sail around The Sound!

Last week a small group of Year 10 students spent the day sailing around Plymouth Sound with The Island Trust.
Jenny from The Island Trust spoke to the students about marine life, the different types of plankton and students had the chance to trawl for plankton whilst out to sea. They also helped hoist the sail, steer the ship and took in some great views of the coastline on such a beautifully sunny day. When we got back to dry land, they used the Crab Cam to look at marine life which live on the seabed and looked at the plankton they had trawled under the microscope.
Huge thank you to Steve, Lucy, Wilf and Jenny for such a great day!
