After spending one day a week through year 11 on a placement at Discovery College Freddie and Cole were recognised for their success at the end of year celebration which was held at the Club Argyle Lounge, which overlooks the Argyle Pitch.

Kirsten Puddephatt, head of Education at Discovery College said of Freddie and Cole, “They have done so well this year and we are so looking forward to them being with us full time in September”

Craig McKenna, a former Brook Green student who left to go to Discovery College in September 2019 finished his studies this year and gained a Level 3 qualification in Child Care. Craig is looking forward to starting his working life in September as a Teaching and Learning Assistant in a primary school in Plymouth.

This is not the only award that Craig left with, he was also presented with the award for the student who has made an outstanding contribution to Discovery College, including being a college ambassador, fund raising for charities and organising college events.

Discovery College Head of Education could not speak more highly of Craig calling him “an asset to the college, and they are extremely proud of him, he has worked hard and earned his success.”
