Soraya Phillips from Take a Part Art project visited the school to begin designing an art installation highlighting the litter and rubbish in the community. The installation will be finished by July 15th and will be unveiled at the school. The plan is to fill a discarded shopping trolley with litter found in the local area and to have the seagulls suspended, swooping above. There will also be posters with messages to encourage people to use the bin. It is hoped that the piece will spend some time both here and Four Greens Community Centre in Whitleigh. Soraya is being helped to make the installation by students from 7RR and today they helped to make seagulls from old milk cartons. Soraya estimated we will need to make 60 of them so if you have any old milk cartons, please donate them to the school for the project.
