The Mystery of the Golden Scallop

Last week, our Year 9 students headed up to the Hoe to take part in 'The Mystery of the Golden Scallop.' Using an activity guide, they navigated their way across the Hoe, stopping at key landmarks and discovering more about the area’s rich history.

As we followed the trail, students searched for symbols, carvings, and hidden points of interest linked to the mystery challenge. It was brilliant to see them working together and exploring the space with real curiosity. We also enjoyed a sunny pit stop for some food and a well‑earned rest. It was a fantastic day out — full of teamwork, fresh air, and plenty of discovery.
