We Cann Care... Experiences of the workplace

A small group of students visited Cann House Care Home to look at all the various departments which help run a nursing home. 

The Activities Coordinator, Michelle, showed us around the beautiful building and talked about why residents might live there. We chatted to some of the residents and Michelle showed us some of the activities she does with them including quizzes, chess, movie nights and a village fete. We met with nurses, team leaders and domestics and learnt about their roles and what they do. We also had a chance to walk around the 9 acre garden and Michelle explained that sometimes they see deer, foxes, squirrels and rabbits on the lawn.
