For World Book Day this year we celebrated the "Life and Rhymes" of Benjamin Zephaniah; who was an inspirational activist, actor, author, dub poet and musician.

The day centred around Benjamin Zephaniah’s love of the world – and all those in it. He inspired young people to perform, rap and write - whilst remembering to always speak up for what they believed in.

Across the day we shared some of Benjamin Zephaniah’s wonderful works such as The Nature Trail, People Need People and the Windrush Child. The students also took part in other activities such as basketball with the Plymouth Patriots, planting trees, creating gardens using different materials, listening to reggae style music and writing their own poems.
