This week, our Year 11 employability skills students put all of their learning into practice with mock interviews. These mock interviews aim to prepare students for the types of questions that they may be faced with when attending college or job interviews.
Our interview panel comprised of Andy Veasey, Managing Director of Drew and Co, our Adopt-a School partner and Tiff Kavanagh who has pioneered the Caerus project with City College Plymouth. Students were asked questions which prompted them to reflect on all the Skillsbuilder skills that they've been developing in school as well as thinking outside of the box - the final questions was 'if you were a biscuit, what biscuit would you be and why?'.
Seeing the students respond with some fantastic answers really was the highlight of a magical Christmas week here and the feedback from Andy and Tiff has cemented just how far these students have come. I've attached their LinkedIn posts which really did bring a tear to my eye!
