Part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award involves an element of volunteering, this can be anything from litter picking, helping in a charity to shop, to improving the environment. To that end a group of Year 9 students went to Warleigh Barton Farm in Tamerton Foliot to plant some trees.
The group not only got their hands dirty planting oaks, Rowan, and field Maples but learnt about the important trees are to our bio diversity.
The group worked really hard and managed to plant 14 trees between them which was a great result in the short time that we were able to spend there.
