Last week your school careers team visited Lifeworks College in Totnes to look at the provision that they offer for students post 16. There are some great pathways and Supported Internships at local and national employers. Supported Internships are designed for students with an EHCP and are similar to a work experience placement but over a longer period usually with two days at the placement and two days in college. Students have mentors to help them with the Supported Internship.

In addition to the college courses and internships, Lifeworks also run some brilliant initiatives including a Community Café every Tuesday, youth groups for young people with learning disabilities aged 11+ and transport can be arranged. For further information please use this link
