Livewell Southwest launch two unique health websites for children and young people

Two websites designed to engage and benefit children and young people in Plymouth; Health for Kids and Health for Teens, will be launched by Livewell Southwest later this month (23 November 2020).

healthforteens.co.uk and healthforkids.co.uk deliver topical health messages and advice through interactive tools and creative marketing materials. By covering subjects that promote health and wellbeing, the aim is to educate and help young people to make the right choices and teach children about their health in a fun and engaging way.

Livewell Southwest's Children’s Services will manage the local health pages on the two sites, and update them as necessary with the most useful and current information. Livewell Southwest is working in partnership with Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust who came up with the original concept and design of the websites.

A message from Livewell Southwest's Children's Professional Lead - Sara Kirkup

We’re delighted to work with Leicester Partnership Trust and have this opportunity to launch local area pages for Plymouth on the Health for Teens and Kids websites.

The sites not only give children and young people helpful health and wellbeing guidance, but can be accessed by parents, carers and teachers to utilise the variety of resources available such as interactive games, signpost to other local health services or download relevant information materials.

People can also search for contact details of their Public Health Nursing Teams.
