Today the last of the Personal Opportunities & Development Day work experience phase was completed. The final group has done five Tuesdays at Antony House, Torpoint as Environmental Assistants, and were ably shown the ropes and put through their paces by Mr. Brian Langley.

As part of their experience the students released mice back into the wild, edged a lawn, used an electric strimmer, disassembled and put into storage a temporary willow sculpture, moved the timber from a fallen American Elm tree that has been shipped down to Falmouth Marine School for them to use in timber boat construction, clear away the Easter decorations from the American Walnut Tree, moving scaffolding, do a butterfly survey, creating a garden improvement plan and finally pond dipping and identifying the pond creatures they had found. All of that in only 5 Tuesdays.

What a magnificent experience for those involved!
