Wednesday 10 th  December 2025 year 11 Life and Employability Students are planning a Christmas Disco for all students and we are hoping to run a parent craft session for those parents that wish to stay on site. Tickets for students and parents are £3 each and will be on sale from the end of the week either from the main school office or through school money.

Save the date for our Next Steps Careers Fair. We are delighted to be holding the event again and have lots of colleges, independent training providers and employers attending including City College Plymouth, Lifeworks, Building Plymouth and Community Homes. A Career Development Consultant from Careers Plymouth will also be attending for any questions you may have.  This is a great opportunity for students to meet college reps and tutors, ask questions and collect information

Today we welcomed DC Tamsyn May and Craig Lang from the Cyber Choices team at Devon and Cornwall Police to talk about cyber security and computer misuse.  Students were tasked with completing an escape room mission to crack into DCI Nicola Crooks' laptop and solve the clues as to who had hacked her emails. Potato prints by MD/PEa Horizon group.  This was achieved by cutting a poppy shape out of the potato so that we got something that resembled a poppy.

Horizons group  MD/PEa created iced poppy biscuits for remembrance day. These are the remaining biscuits because the rest were eaten and enjoyed.

This afternoon two of the Y9 DoE groups volunteered to sort out the welly cupboard. The time they spent doing it will go towards their Bronze Award. Let's see how long it lasts!

As we approach the end of a busy term it was lovely this morning for students to be able to have some time to reflect and share the work that they have completed during their Building Horizon lessons. The displays will still be up in the morning for families to see after the rewards assembly.

As part of Building Plymouth's Adopt-a-School programme, Brook Green Centre for Learning has been partnered with Drew and Co, a local electrical contractor.
